Steven Krause is the Chairman and CEO of Krause Corp., a company his grandfather founded in the 1960’s. He began working for the company as a teenager and then served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1970 in the 1st Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War. When Krause returned, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and rejoined the company as a Production Manager. During his time at the company, he developed a roll-off hoist, a container carrier and compaction equiopment, some of which they patented. In 1996, they entered the hook lift business by acquiring American Hook Lift. He was the first Chair of WASTEC’s Statistics Committee more than ten years ago.
