Our clients typically have many locations that span a wide geographic territory. We simplify their solid waste program, make it more efficient, and lower their costs.

MICHAEL S. HESS

Founder, President/CEO

Twenty-five years experience within the solid waste management industry as senior executive, including significant Merger and Acquisition activity. From 1997 until founding the Company, Mr. Hess served as Vice President of U.S. Operations for Capital Environmental Resource Inc., a $120 million in revenue solid waste collection and disposal company, with operations in the Northeastern United States and Canada. During his tenure at Capital Environmental, Mr. Hess played an integral part in the acquisition and/or start-up and integration of eleven solid waste companies over two and a half years. Mr. Hess acquired this business from Capital Environmental in July of 2001 and has successfully grown the business from one with a Northeastern United States focus, to one that now services customers throughout the entire United States and Canada. Mr. Hess holds a B.S. Degree in Management from SUNY Empire State College.

 

CARL H. SLUSARCZYK, JR.

Vice President of Sales

Ten years of solid waste and recycling management experience, specializing in business development and relationship management. Mr. Slusarczyk has played a vital role in Waste Harmonics strategic growth over the last 4 years, and continues to develop strategies to improve services for Waste Harmonics’ clients. In addition to Mr. Slusarczyk’s experience within the waste and recycling business, he has a background in business start-ups, focused on building business plans and growth development strategies. Mr. Slusarczyk earned a B.S. Degree from Providence College, and currently resides with his family in Charlestown.

MARY WAY

Vice President of Customer Care

Almost 25 years of business-to-business customer-centric management experience, including small business accounting and financial management. Mary has been with Waste Harmonics since 2010 and has been instrumental in developing our customer service team. Mary has experience in customer service management in diverse fields including banking, marketing and communications, and now waste brokerage. She is directly responsible for all aspects of our Customer Care group and continues to drive our customer facing responsiveness and communications. Mary also has a background in retail banking, small business services, and marketing. Mary holds a B.A. Degree in American Studies from Colby Col
